JisonCase have reached out to me and provided this iPhone 7 Plus leather case free for an honest review. JisonCase goes way back to 2001 and they specialize in making leather cases for mobile devices. The link to their website is in the description box below and be sure to check them out.
Packaging is a fairly simple brown box with their logo printed in the middle. The leather case is kept in a plastic sleeve to protect it during shipping. Mine came in black but there are other colors like red and brown as well.
The leather feels great in the hands but still provides enough grip. It may seem like the back has some defects but it’s not. It is due to the natural variations of the leather. Their logo is also imprinted at the bottom. The inside is covered with velvet to keep the back of the phone clean from scratches.
There are cutouts for the mute switch and camera. The power and volume rockers are also covered to prevent dust from entering. The bottom however, is wide open for the speakers and type C port.
The case fits the phone perfectly and it feels really snug. The cutouts for the ports are also precise and even with short fingernails, the mute switch is easy to reach. The covered buttons can be a little hard to press in the beginning, but should be easier when the leather ages. It’s slightly raised so it’s easy to feel with the fingers.
Although the case is slim, the camera will not be scratched when placed on the table. However, as I’m using a tempered glass protector, placing it face down is a definite no. The lip of the case is not high enough to include the glass protector.
I’m quite pleased with the look and premium feel of the case but it definitely won’t provide the full protection from drops. The slim leather case is meant to keep it sleek in design, while providing enough protection from knocks. I recommend getting this case for anyone that is looking for an inexpensive, slim design and yet functional leather case.
